Sec. 374.022. CREATION OF URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY. (a) An urban renewal agency created in a municipality is a public body corporate and politic. (b) An urban renewal agency may not transact business or exercise any powers under this chapter until the governing body of the municipality: (1) adopts a resolution as provided by Section 374.011 ; and (2) elects to exercise urban renewal project power through an urban renewal agency as provided by Section 374.021 (a).
