Sec. 363.255. FILING OF PETITION. To form the basis for the ordering of a referendum, the petition must: (1) be filed with the clerk of the political subdivision not later than the 60th day after the date of its issuance; and (2) contain at least a number of signatures of registered voters of the political subdivision equal to five percent of the number of votes cast in the political subdivision for all candidates for governor in the most recent gubernatorial general election.
