Sec. 351.455. PRACTICE PROHIBITED FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (a) A person may not practice optometry or therapeutic optometry from house to house or on the streets or highways, notwithstanding any laws for the licensing of peddlers. (b) Subsection (a) does not prohibit an optometrist, therapeutic optometrist, or licensed physician from attending, prescribing for, or providing eyeglasses or ophthalmic lenses to a person: (1) who, because of illness or physical or mental infirmity, is confined to the place the person resides; or (2) in response to an unsolicited request or call for those services.
