Sec. 326.043. ELECTION OF TRUSTEES; TERM OF OFFICE. (a) Trustees shall serve two-year terms. (b) The general election for trustees shall be held annually on an authorized uniform election date under Chapter 41 , Election Code. (c) Except for the initial members of the board of trustees, a candidate for the office of trustee must file an application for a place on the ballot in accordance with Chapter 144 , Election Code, and other applicable provisions of that code.
