Sec. 324.022. NOTICE OF HEARING. (a) After the filing of the petition, the commissioners court shall set a date for a hearing on the petition that is after the 20th day but on or before the 40th day after the date the petition is filed. (b) The commissioners court shall publish notice of the petition and the hearing date in a newspaper of general circulation in the county. (c) The notice must be published once each week for a period of two weeks before the hearing date.
