Sec. 31.091. DEFINITIONS. In this subchapter: (1) "County election officer" means the county elections administrator in counties having that position, the county tax assessor-collector in counties in which the county clerk's election duties and functions have been transferred to the tax assessor-collector, and the county clerk in other counties. (2) "Election services contract" means a contract executed under this subchapter. (3) "Contracting authority" means the governing body of a political subdivision or the county executive committee of a political party that enters into a contract under this subchapter.
