Sec. 30.00978. COURT REPORTER. (a) The clerk of the court shall appoint the court reporter under Section 30.00010 . (b) Repealed by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 691, Sec. 139(25), eff. Sept. 1, 1999. (c) The court reporter is not required to record testimony in a case unless the judge or one of the parties requests a record. A party's request for a record must be in writing and filed with the court before trial. (d) Repealed by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 691, Sec. 139(25), eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
