Sec. 287.049. ADMINISTRATOR AND ADDITIONAL STAFF. (a) The board may appoint qualified persons as administrator of the district and as additional administrative staff members as the board considers necessary for the efficient operation of the district. (b) The administrator and other administrative staff members serve at the will of the board. (c) The administrator and other administrative staff members are entitled to compensation as determined by the board. (d) Before assuming the administrator's duties, the administrator shall execute a bond payable to the health services district in an amount not less than $5,000 as determined by the board, conditioned on the faithful performance of the administrator's duties under this chapter. The board may pay for the bond with district funds.
