PURCHASE AND SALE OF PROPERTY AFTER JUDGMENT

Sec. 270.002. PURCHASE AND SALE OF PROPERTY AFTER JUDGMENT. If property is sold under execution or order of sale on a judgment in favor of a county, including execution on a judgment in a case of scire facias in the name of the state, the attorney or agent representing the county, with the advice and consent of the commissioners court, may purchase and dispose of the property for the county in the same manner as an attorney or agent for the state under Article 4401, Revised Statutes. The officer selling the property shall execute and deliver to the county a deed to the property. On sale of the property by the county, the commissioners court, in the name of the county, shall execute and deliver to the purchaser a deed to the property.
