Sec. 27.041. JURISDICTION. (a) The railroad commission has jurisdiction over the onshore and offshore injection and geologic storage of carbon dioxide in this state. (b) Repealed by Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., Ch. 460 (H.B. 1284 ), Sec. 15, eff. June 9, 2021. (c) The railroad commission has jurisdiction over a well used for the purpose provided by Subsection (a) regardless of whether the well was initially completed for that purpose or was initially completed for another purpose and is converted to the purpose provided by Subsection (a).
