Sec. 253.040. SEPARATE ACCOUNTS. (a) Except as provided by Section 253.0351 (c), each candidate or officeholder shall keep the person's campaign and officeholder contributions in one or more accounts that are separate from any other account maintained by the person. (b) A person who violates this section commits an offense. An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.
