Sec. 242.401. QUALITY OF LIFE. (a) An institution shall care for its residents in a manner and in an environment that promotes maintenance or enhancement of each resident's quality of life and dignity. An institution that admits a resident who is younger than 18 years of age must provide care to meet the resident's unique medical and developmental needs. (b) A resident of an institution has the right to reside and receive services in the institution with reasonable accommodation of individual needs, except to the extent the health or safety of the resident or other residents would be endangered.
