Sec. 231.229. ENFORCEMENT; PENALTY. (a) The commissioners court may adopt orders to enforce this subchapter or an order or development regulation adopted under this subchapter. (b) A person commits an offense if the person violates this subchapter or an order or development regulation adopted under this subchapter. An offense under this subsection is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $500 or more than $1,000. Each day that a violation occurs constitutes a separate offense. Trial shall be in the justice court.
