Sec. 22.053. TIME WARRANTS. (a) The commissioners court of a county with a population of 12,200 to 12,400 may issue time warrants to: (1) condemn or purchase land to be used and maintained as provided by Sections 22.011 , 22.020 , and 22.024 ; and (2) improve and equip the land for the use provided by Sections 22.011 , 22.020 , and 22.024 . (b) The commissioners court of a county that issues time warrants under this section shall comply with: (1) Subchapter C , Chapter 262 , Local Government Code, regarding: (A) notice to issue the time warrants; and (B) the right to a referendum; and (2) Chapter 1251, regarding the imposition of taxes for payment of the time warrants.
