Sec. 206.208. FEES. (a) The medical board shall set and collect fees in amounts that are reasonable and necessary to cover the costs of administering and enforcing this chapter without the use of any other funds generated by the medical board. (b) Fees collected by the medical board under this chapter shall be deposited by the medical board in the state treasury to the credit of an account in the general revenue fund and may be spent to cover the costs of administering and enforcing this chapter. At the end of each fiscal biennium, the comptroller shall transfer any surplus money remaining in the account to the general revenue fund. (c) All money paid to the medical board under this chapter is subject to Subchapter F , Chapter 404 , Government Code.
