Sec. 206.206. TEMPORARY LICENSE. (a) The medical board may, through the executive director, issue a temporary license to an applicant who: (1) submits an application on a form prescribed by the medical board; (2) has passed an examination required by the medical board relating to the practice of surgical assisting; (3) pays the appropriate fee set by the medical board; (4) if licensed in another state, is licensed in good standing; and (5) meets all the qualifications for a license under this chapter and is waiting for the next scheduled meeting of the medical board for the license to be issued. (b) A temporary license is valid until the 100th day after the date issued and may be extended until the 130th day after the date issued.
