Sec. 206.052. APPOINTMENT OF ADVISORY COMMITTEE. (a) The advisory committee consists of six members appointed by the president of the medical board. One member must be a registered perioperative nurse with at least five years of clinical experience as a registered perioperative nurse. Each of the remaining members must be: (1) a practicing surgical assistant who has at least five years of clinical experience as a surgical assistant; or (2) a physician licensed in this state who supervises a surgical assistant. (b) Appointments to the advisory committee shall be made without regard to the race, color, disability, sex, religion, age, or national origin of the appointees.
