Sec. 20.007. PROHIBITED ACTS. An employee of a voter registration agency may not: (1) seek to influence an applicant's political party preference; (2) display any political party preference or allegiance; or (3) make any statement or take any action the purpose or effect of which is to: (A) discourage the applicant from registering to vote; or (B) lead the applicant to believe that a decision of whether to register has any bearing on the availability of services or benefits.
