Sec. 167.105. SEIZURE AND DISPOSAL OF ANIMALS MOVED IN VIOLATION OF QUARANTINE. (a) An inspector who discovers animals that are being or have been moved in violation of a quarantine may request a peace officer to seize the animals and: (1) impound the animals at the expense of the owner; or (2) if practicable, return the animals at the expense of the owner to the point of origin. (b) In addition to other expenses, the owner of the seized animals shall pay the officer a fee of $2 and the cost of feeding, watering, and holding the animals.
