Sec. 161.285. SEPARATE TRANSACTIONS. (a) No transaction under this chapter may be considered together with any other transaction to constitute a block deal between the state and two or more veteran purchasers, and each tract of land is considered as a wholly separate entity without dependence on any other tract of land, substance, matter, person, or thing in determining its value, purchase, or sale under this chapter. (b) None of the provisions of this chapter may be construed to prevent the purchase or sale or both of contiguous tracts of land to separate purchasers as long as the value of the land is determined in the manner provided in Section 161.284 of this code.
