Sec. 161.060. REMOVAL OF COMMISSION MEMBER. A member of the commission is a county officer described by Section 87.012 (15) and may be removed as provided by Chapter 87 if, after a trial, the jury finds good cause for removal, including: (1) failure to pay local, state, or federal taxes when due; (2) violation of the ethics code adopted by the commission; (3) conviction of a felony or misdemeanor; (4) excessive absenteeism as determined by the commission; and (5) official misconduct.
