Sec. 161.0416. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. (a) The commission may prepare and plan for, respond to, and aid in the recovery from disaster events that may affect livestock, exotic livestock, domestic fowl, or exotic fowl, including disease outbreaks, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, wildfires, and acts of terrorism. (b) The commission may assist with local emergency management planning. This subsection may not be construed to affect the commission's responsibility under any other law, including Chapter 418 , Government Code, or any responsibility delegated to the commission by an emergency management authority of this state.
