Sec. 157.027. CIVIL ACTIONS AND INJUNCTIVE RELIEF. (a) A residential mortgage loan applicant injured by a violation of this chapter or Chapter 156 by a residential mortgage loan originator may bring an action for recovery of actual monetary damages and reasonable attorney's fees and court costs. (b) The commissioner, the attorney general, or a residential mortgage loan applicant may bring an action to enjoin a violation of this chapter by a residential mortgage loan originator. (c) A remedy provided by this section is in addition to any other remedy provided by law.
