Sec. 1477.101. APPLICABILITY OF SUBCHAPTER. This subchapter applies only to a county in which: (1) the commissioners court adopts this subchapter by an order approved by a majority vote of the court's members; and (2) the county seat is an unincorporated community or city with a population of more than 5,000, according to the most recent federal census, on the date on which the order is adopted.
