Sec. 1433.049. RESULTS OF ELECTION. (a) Within 10 days after the election, or as soon after that as possible, the governing body of the issuer shall convene and canvass the returns of the election. (b) If a majority of the voters voting in a bond election vote in favor of the proposition, the governing body shall find and declare that the results favor the proposition, and subject to Section 1433.041 , the governing body may proceed with the authorization of the bonds.
