Sec. 141.035. PENALTY. (a) A person who is a municipal official in a municipality with a population of 10,000 or more and who is in charge of the fire or police department or is responsible for setting the compensation provided by this subchapter commits an offense if the person violates this subchapter. (b) An offense under this section is punishable by a fine of not less than $10 or more than $100. (c) Each day on which the municipal official causes or permits a violation of this subchapter to occur is a separate offense.
