Sec. 130.0845. REMOVAL OF TRUSTEE FOR NONATTENDANCE OF BOARD MEETINGS. (a) It is a ground for removal of a member of the board of trustees of a junior college district that the member is absent from more than half of the regularly scheduled board meetings that the member is eligible to attend during a calendar year, not counting an absence for which the member is excused by a majority vote of the board. (b) The validity of an action of the board of trustees is not affected by the fact that the action is taken when a ground for removal of a member of the board exists. (c) A member of a board of trustees may be removed for a ground provided by this section, using the procedures provided by Subchapter B , Chapter 87 , Local Government Code, for removing a county official.
