Sec. 1201.012. DEFENSE OF CLAIM. The following actions by an insurer do not operate as a waiver of the insurer's rights in defense of a claim that arises under an individual accident and health insurance policy: (1) acknowledgment of the receipt of notice given under the policy; (2) provision of a form for filing a proof of loss; (3) acceptance of a proof of loss; or (4) investigation of a claim under the policy.
