Sec. 1131.151. CONTINUATION OF BENEFITS FOR FAMILY MEMBERS AFTER DEATH OF INSURED. (a) A group life insurance policy that provides for the insurer to pay benefits for members of the family or dependents of an individual in the insured group may provide for a continuation of any part of those benefits after the death of the individual in the insured group. (b) Any amounts of insurance provided by benefits under Subsection (a) are not considered to be life insurance for the purpose of determining the maximum amount of term insurance that may be issued on any one life.
