Sec. 1120.022. TEMPORARY DIRECTORS. (a) If the creation of the district is approved at the election held under Section 1120.021 , the Wood County Commissioners Court shall appoint nine temporary directors to represent the district at large. (b) Temporary directors serve until the date of the next regular election of directors that occurs after the date of the election held under Section 1120.021 and that allows sufficient time to comply with other requirements of law. (c) A vacancy on the temporary board of directors shall be filled by appointment by the Wood County Commissioners Court. (d) A person must be a qualified voter of the district to serve as a temporary director. (e) An employee of the district may not serve as a temporary director.
