Sec. 1117.062. MEDICAL DIRECTOR. (a) The board shall appoint a medical director. (b) To be qualified for appointment as the medical director, a person must: (1) be a doctor of medicine; and (2) actively practice medicine in the district. (c) The medical director is in charge of all matters of a medical nature in the district, subject to any rules adopted by the board. (d) The medical director is entitled to: (1) attend all meetings of the board; and (2) take part in all board discussions. (e) The medical director may not vote at a meeting of the board.
