Sec. 1110.110. CONSTRUCTION AND PURCHASE CONTRACTS. (a) A construction contract that involves the expenditure of more than $50,000 shall be procured in the manner provided by Subchapter B , Chapter 271 , Local Government Code. (b) A contract for a purchase that involves the expenditure of more than $50,000, other than a contract subject to Subchapter B , Chapter 271 , Local Government Code, or Chapter 2253 , Government Code, shall be procured in the manner provided by Subchapter C , Chapter 262 , Local Government Code. (c) The provisions of Chapter 2253 , Government Code, relating to performance and payment bonds, apply to construction contracts let by the district.
