Sec. 1088.053. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE. (a) A person may not be elected or appointed as a director unless the person is: (1) a resident of the district; and (2) a qualified voter. (b) A director elected from a commissioners precinct is not required to be a resident of that commissioners precinct.
