Sec. 1077.253. TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR. (a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), the tax assessor-collector of Cooke County shall assess and collect taxes imposed by the district. (b) The board may appoint a district tax assessor-collector under Section 285.041 , Health and Safety Code.
