Sec. 1070.104. HOSPITAL SYSTEM; ANCILLARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES SYSTEM. (a) The district shall provide for the establishment of a hospital system by: (1) purchasing, constructing, acquiring, repairing, or renovating buildings and equipment; (2) equipping the buildings; and (3) administering the buildings and equipment for hospital purposes. (b) The hospital and ancillary health care services systems may include: (1) facilities and equipment to provide domiciliary care and treatment of the sick or injured; (2) outpatient clinics; (3) dispensaries; (4) geriatric domiciliary care; (5) convalescent home facilities; (6) physicians' offices; (7) home health services; (8) durable medical equipment; (9) long-term care; (10) skilled nursing care; (11) intermediate nursing care; (12) hospice care; (13) ambulatory surgery centers; (14) urgent care facilities; (15) rural health clinics; (16) operation of a mobile emergency medical service; (17) necessary nurses' domiciliaries and training centers; (18) blood banks; (19) research centers or laboratories; and (20) any other facilities or equipment the board considers necessary to provide hospital and ancillary health care services.
