Sec. 1069.202. NOTICE; HEARING; APPROVAL OF BUDGET. (a) The board shall hold a public hearing on the proposed annual budget. (b) Notice of the hearing must be published one time at least 10 days before the date of the hearing. (c) Any district resident is entitled to be present and participate at the hearing. (d) At the conclusion of the hearing, the board shall act on the budget as proposed by the board president. The board may make any changes in the proposed budget that the board judges to be in the interest of the taxpayers and the law warrants. The budget must be approved by the board.
