Sec. 1061.113. MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT; LIABILITY. (a) The board may enter into a management agreement with any person, including the Midland Memorial Foundation or its successors, for the management and operation of any hospital or part of a hospital owned by the district, under terms satisfactory to the board and the person. (b) An agreement under Subsection (a) may be for a term not to exceed 10 years, with renewal options as considered advisable. (c) A nonprofit corporation that manages a hospital or provides services under a contract with the district under this chapter and any corporation employee are district employees for purposes of Chapters 101 and 102 , Civil Practice and Remedies Code, while performing services under the contract for the benefit of the district.
