Sec. 1058.053. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE. (a) To qualify for election to the board, a person must: (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) have been a resident of the district for at least two years; and (3) be a qualified voter of the district. (b) An elective or appointed officer of this state or a political subdivision, including Upton County, is not qualified for election to the board.
