Sec. 1048.051. BOARD ELECTION; TERM. (a) The board is governed by seven directors elected at large by place. (b) Unless four-year terms are established under Section 285.081 , Health and Safety Code: (1) directors serve two-year terms; (2) an election shall be held each year on the May uniform election date under Section 41.001 , Election Code; and (3) the terms of the directors elected to places one through four expire in odd-numbered years and the terms of the directors elected to places five through seven expire in even-numbered years.
