Sec. 1045.117. REIMBURSEMENT FOR SERVICES. (a) The board shall require a county, municipality, or public hospital located outside the district to reimburse the district for the district's care and treatment of a sick or injured person of that county, municipality, or public hospital as provided by Chapter 61 , Health and Safety Code. (b) The board shall require the sheriff of Hutchinson County or the police chief of a municipality in Hutchinson County to reimburse the district for the district's care and treatment of a person who is confined in a jail facility of Hutchinson County or the municipality and is not a resident of the district. (c) The board may contract with this or another state, the federal government, or an agency or political subdivision of this or another state or of the federal government to reimburse the district for the care and treatment of a sick or injured person.
