Sec. 1035.053. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE. (a) To be qualified to serve as a director, a person must: (1) reside in the district; and (2) be at least 21 years of age. (b) A person may not serve as a director if the person: (1) is a district employee; or (2) was a district employee at any time during the two years preceding the date of the election.
