Sec. 1022.063. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTS. For any purpose permitted by applicable state law, the board may enter into an independent contract with: (1) a person licensed to practice medicine in this state; (2) a professional association that is organized under the Texas Professional Association Act (Article 1528f, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes); or (3) a nonprofit organization that is organized under and in compliance with Subchapter A , Chapter 162 , Occupations Code.
