Sec. 1013.066. LIABILITY INSURANCE; INDEMNIFICATION. (a) The board may defend or indemnify an officer, director, board appointee, medical staff member, or district employee against or from a claim, expense, or liability arising from duties performed in that capacity. (b) The board may purchase liability insurance coverage or establish a self-insurance program to fund an indemnity obligation under this section.
