Sec. 1012.059. CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER; ASSISTANT CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER. (a) The board shall appoint a qualified person to be known as the chief executive officer of the district. (b) The chief executive officer may appoint an assistant to the chief executive officer. (c) The chief executive officer is entitled to the compensation determined by the board. (d) The board may execute an employment contract with the chief executive officer for a term of not more than three years. The employment contract may be renewed or extended annually.
