Sec. 1004.174. ELECTION RESULTS. (a) The board shall find that the district is dissolved if: (1) a majority of the votes in an election under this subchapter favor dissolution of the district and creation of the Runnels County Hospital District; (2) a majority of the votes in an election held on the same date under Section 20c, Chapter 206, Acts of the 61st Legislature, Regular Session, 1969, favor dissolution of the North Runnels County Hospital District and creation of the Runnels County Hospital District; and (3) a cumulative majority of the votes in all three elections held on the question of creating the Runnels County Hospital District favor creation of the district. (b) If a majority of the votes in either election under Subdivision (a)(1) or (2) do not favor dissolution of the district and creation of the Runnels County Hospital District, or if a cumulative majority of the votes in all three elections held on the question of creating the Runnels County Hospital District do not favor creation of the district, the board shall continue to administer the district, and another election on the question of dissolution under this subchapter may not be held before the first anniversary of the date of the most recent election under this subchapter to dissolve the district.
