Sec. 1002.152. NOTICE OF HEARING. (a) The board shall pass an order fixing a time and place at which the petition shall be heard. (b) The secretary shall issue notice of the time and place of the hearing. The notice must describe the territory proposed to be annexed by metes and bounds or by lot and block number, if there is a recorded map or plat and survey of the land. (c) Notice of the hearing shall be given by publication of a copy of the notice in a newspaper of general circulation in Brazoria County at least one time, the date of the first publication to be at least 10 days before the date of the hearing.
