Sec. 1002.057. OFFICERS. (a) The governor shall designate a member of the board as the presiding officer of the board to serve in that capacity at the pleasure of the governor. (a-1) The board shall elect biennially from its own membership an assistant presiding officer and a secretary-treasurer. A member may not hold a position described by this subsection for more than two consecutive two-year periods. A member serves in a position described by this subsection at the will of the board and may be removed from that position by a two-thirds majority vote of the board. (b) The board may appoint an assistant secretary and other assistants who are not members of the board to assist the board and exercise its authority in carrying out the board's powers and duties.
