(a) The board shall determine the subjects of examination for applicants for licensure as nursing home administrators. The board shall also determine the scope, content and format of such an examination, which in any examination shall be the same for all candidates; however, all examinations must include testing of the applicant's proficiency in the rules and regulations of health and safety. (b) Any applicant having failed to achieve a passing grade, score or level of proficiency as determined by the board on such examination is not prohibited from taking successive examinations; provided, that such applicant pays the examination fee set by the board pursuant to § 63-16-104 for each successive examination.
