(a) The general corporation laws and all powers and rights under such laws shall apply to the associations organized pursuant to such laws, except where such provisions are in conflict or inconsistent with the express provisions of this chapter. (b) Any law which is in conflict with this chapter shall be construed as not applying to the associations herein provided for. Acts 1984, ch. 864, §§ 35, 42.
