Chapter definitions

As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) "Association" means the Tennessee property and casualty insurance association; and (2) "Insurance" means "property insurance" as defined in § 56-2-201 , and "casualty insurance" as defined in § 56-2-201 , except for: (A) Hazardous waste or environmental impairment insurance; and (B) Any kind of insurance that is available through the Tennessee automobile insurance plan or any other existing residual market mechanism as defined in chapter 5 of this title. Acts 1987, ch. 439, § 1.
